The Greco Law Company team covered the topical issues of environmental legislation and climate changes in Ukraine for the International Comparative Legal Guides (ICLG)

The managing partner of Greco Law Company Pavlo Kuftyryev, the company advisor Artemii Vorobiov and the head of the Communications and External Relations Department Mariya Kiperman spoke exclusively about the legislation of Ukraine in the field of climate changes and environment protection. The materials were published in the International Comparative Legal Guides, a publication that provides up-to-date legal information about different jurisdictions in a question-and-answer format.

We are pleased that our overview of legislation on Environment & Climate Change in Ukraine has been published on the pages of the International Comparative Legal Guides of the British ICLG portal. The GRECO Law Company team has extensive experience and expertise in the field of legislative regulation of environmental and climate change issues. This publication on the ICLG portal was made possible thanks to the efforts of the GRECO Law Company team, including the managing partner Pavlo Kuftyryev the company advisor Artemii Vorobiov and the head of the Communications and External Relations Department Mariya Kiperman.

“This is an honour for me personally, and for the entire Greco Law Company team to be able to talk about current issues related to environmental legislation and climate changes in Ukraine with the International Comparative Legal Guides. Today, Ukraine seeks to bring its environmental legislation into line with EU standards, in order to fulfil its obligations under the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. However, the environmental legislation of Ukraine is still not capable of systemic changes, meaning that the legislation introduces new rules for the regulation of a certain institution, but it does not affect the regulation of related institutions, which leads to legislative gaps. Thanks to the work of each member of our team and the practical experience gained over the years, we analysed the Ukrainian legislation related to environmental and climate change issues, identified problematic issues, and drew attention to the need for legislative and regulatory changes in the field of environmental policy, as they are extremely necessary and urgent for Ukraine,” noted Pavlo Kuftyryev, the managing partner of Greco Law Company.
