The All-Ukrainian Ecological League organized the Forum that was held on November 24-25, in Kyiv, under the auspices of the Committee on Environmental Policy and Management of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine. The Centre for Environmental Education and Information, “Kyivspetstrans” PJSC, and Greco Law Company became the partners of the Forum.
Recently, a collection of writings of the National Forum “Waste Management in Ukraine: Legislation, Economics, Technologies” was made public, in particular, the Resolution and the Roadmap adopted on its completion. These to documents refer to the determination of priority ways for the implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Waste Management”, addressing the issues of recycling and disposal of war waste without a negative impact on the environment, promoting the encouragement of investment to develop environmentally friendly waste processing infrastructure, implementation of environmental initiatives and projects, establishment and strengthening of cross-border cooperation, implementation of principles of balanced (sustainable) development in Ukraine, introduction of environmentally friendly, resource and energy efficient technologies, promoting cooperation between state authorities, local self-governments, public organizations, science, and businesses.
The materials of the collection will be useful for representatives of state authorities and local self-governments, businesses, the public, scientists, lawyers, and environmental safety practitioners.
